Marketing Communications Specialist - Part-time

The French Library Alliance Française is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Marketing Communications Specialist .

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Work in collaboration with the Graphic & Web Designer, reporting to the Executive Director
  • In charge, along with the Graphic Designer, of maintaining an up-to-date website as well as creating, producing and editing all promotional and in-house branding material (print and electronic)
  • Assures liaison between the FAB’s direction and existing and future partners identified by the Direction 
  • Will establish and nurture contacts with the media (press editors, radio channels, …) to help promote the FAB in New England
  • Will be assigned by the Direction to attended – if necessary- some events or conferences linked to Marketing tasks

Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field required
  • Bilingual English/French required
  • Superior attention to detail and copyediting experience required
  • Impeccable presentation and manners
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Familiarity with Graphic Design software (such as Adobe In Design CS3, Illustrator, Photoshop) and HTML desirable
  • Availability: 15 hours a week

Teacher - Children's Courses

The French Library Alliance Française of Boston is looking for one Native French speaker to teach children’s courses.

Courses to be taught:

  • 1. Bébé Alliance (age 6 months until age 2)

    A singing class for parents and little ones with nursery rhymes, games and music Monday 10 to 10:45 am / Wednesday 9:45 to 10:30 am / Saturday 10 to 10:45 am
  • 2. Alliance Enfant (age 3)

    A class for parents and children with nursery rhymes and music, but also, with story and “Flash cards” games to begin learning words and numbers             Monday 3 to 3:45 pm / Wednesday 10:45 to 11:30 am / Saturday 10:45 to 11:30 am

Qualifications and skills:

  • Candidates should have some teaching experience as well as the authorization to work in the United States.
  • Please note that the FAB will NOT sponsor your application for a Visa or Green card.
