Bastille Day

The French Library Alliance Française of Boston (FAB) has been known for providing the most exciting Bastille Day street dance in the city of Boston for over 30 years. Honoring the traditional celebration of “Liberty, Equality and Fraternity” of the July 14th French national holiday, Francophone musicians, French food and drinks as well as dancing in the outdoor setting of Marlborough Street is one of the highlights of Boston's summer scene.

In partnership with World Music, this highly successful event has recently outgrown our neighborhood, and therefore we are currently planning for a new and bigger celebration in another location for 2009. The FAB will of course celebrate Bastille Day this year, but not in the usual grand style of our street dance. We will be back! We are delighted that so many people in Boston love this traditional French celebration, and we look forward to seeing all of you again! Vive la fête!
